Chattanooga, Tennessee (July 23, 2026) – The AIM Center, in partnership with the Chattanooga Housing Authority, will accept an additional 75 preliminary applications to supplement the existing Espero Chattanooga waiting list for its one- and two-bedroom Project-Based Voucher (PBV) affordable housing units, located at 1807 and 1823 E. Main St. Chattanooga, Tennessee 37404 on August 3,2026. For this round of applicant processing, applicants can apply using The Chattanooga Housing Authority’s Applicant Portal, found on their website at http://www.chahousing.org/.
Eligibility:
Selection for PBV units includes verification of income eligibility and screening in accordance with HUD Housing Choice Voucher program requirements under 24 CFR Part 983. Preferences may be designated for specific populations, such as persons with disabilities or households that are eligible for AIM Center supportive services, consistent with HUD regulations and applicable federal fair housing laws

The Espero Chattanooga online preliminary waiting list application will be available on August 3, 2026 from 10 am EST (Eastern Standard Time) until 12 noon EST only. Applicants who successfully completed the initial in-person application process at AIM CENTER (472 W M.L.K Blvd Chattanooga, TN 37402) and were placed on the current waiting list should not submit another application. Only individuals who are not currently on the Espero Chattanooga waiting list should apply during this application period. PAPER APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AND WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING ONLINE APPLICATIONS FOR THIS ROUND. PLEASE HAVE YOUR IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTATION ON HAND FOR EACH HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS TO ENSURE THE ENTRY OF ACCURATE INFORMATION.
For those without computer access, below is a listing of a few of the many public facilities where computer access is available:

The order of the application on the waiting list will be determined by CHA’s Applicant Portal 3rd party software and is subject to preference eligibility placement in accordance with HUD 24 CFR Part 983.251(d). All applications beyond the cut-off number of 75 received on August 3, 2026 will be discarded.
Applicants who are not placed on the waiting list will need to re-apply to our waiting list once we begin accepting new applications again. To check your application or update your contact information, any time after Monday, August 10th @ 12:00 pm you can go to the CHA website at www.chahousing.org and follow the link: Apply For Housing – My Housing to log in to your Applicant Portal.
Note: Any changes in your mailing or email address after submission of preliminary application must be submitted through the Applicant Portal. If at the time that your application is processed for a voucher invitation you have not updated your address and you miss both scheduled appointments for this reason, your waiting list application will be withdrawn. Make sure to update your changed address as soon as you move to prevent your application from being withdrawn.
Each applicant may submit only ONE Preliminary Application for the Espero Chattanooga waiting list. If the CHA receives more than one Preliminary Application for an applicant, then that applicant will be disqualified from placement on the waiting list.

All waitlist housing application opportunities are subject to the applicant’s ability to meet the eligibility requirements of the CHA Project Based Voucher program as well as those of Espero Chattanooga Apartments unit availability. Submission of an application and placement on the waitlist does not guarantee eligibility, selection of a unit, or receipt of housing assistance.
